Getting Started
A quick guide to charging your EV at any Pay App–enabled charger — no account or app download needed.
Step by step
- Find the QR labelLook for the sticker on the charger cabinet or connector holster.
- Scan it with your phone cameraNo app to install — it opens a secure page right in your browser. Before entering any details, confirm the address bar shows charge.fday.io. If it doesn't, don't proceed — let your site manager know.
- Choose your connectorIf the charger has two plugs, select the one you're using.
- Pick full charge or set a limitIf you'd rather stop at a spending amount you choose, select a cost limit. If you just want your vehicle to keep charging until it's full or you reach your preauthorization limit, select “Full charge.”
- Enter your email and cardYour card is authorized, not charged — you'll only pay for what you use. Your email is required — that's where your receipt is sent.
- Plug in — it starts on its ownConnect the cable. Charging begins automatically once it's detected.
- Unplug when you're doneA receipt is emailed automatically, and any unused amount is refunded.
If something looks off
The charger says it's offline
Don't attempt to charge here. Let your site contact know and use another charger if one's available.
It says the connector is unavailable
Someone else is using it, or it's still wrapping up. Pick another connector or charger.
I got a “wrong connector” message
Confirm whether it was you, then check you're plugged into the connector you selected on your phone.
Why was my card authorized for more than my charge cost?
That's a hold, not a charge. You only pay for the energy you actually use — the rest is released back to your card automatically.
How do I get a receipt?
It's emailed to the address you entered, automatically, as soon as the session ends.
The session seems stuck starting
Unplug and reconnect the cable. You're never charged unless energy is actually delivered.
